Job Title: Alternative Business Officer 

Job Overview:

The Alternative Business Officer will be responsible for reaching FMDQ’s target audience, raising awareness of FMDQ’s services offerings along its non-core business area, through the adoption of effective sales and marketing strategies. Key activities will include:

  • * Research and suggest viable opportunities for generation of revenue for FMDQ along its non-core business area including use of FMDQ facilities, among others
  • * Research, develop and maintain current and competitive procedures, processes and policies for the use of FMDQ facilities
  • * Develop, in collaboration with the relevant team, promotional materials for the use of FMDQ facilities
  • * Actively drive the cultivation and sign-up of clients
  • * Actively promote FMDQ’s non-core service offerings to prospects
  • * Manage and maintain FMDQ business interfaces database
  • * Proactively develop client relationships
  • * Provide daily updates on non-core business generation activities
  • * Provide detailed feedback obtained from client calls
  • * Generate daily, weekly and monthly reports of new business generated
  • * Maintain and communicate a current schedule of facilities bookings in alignment with the relevant teams, to ensure there are no conflicting events
  • * Maintain an accurate and up-to-date record of all revenues generated from non-core services
  • * Assist in any other matters arising in the day-to-day activities of the Alternative Business Group
  • * Any other tasks assigned


Qualification and Skills 

  • * Two (2) years or more of sales and/or relationship management experience
  • * Basic knowledge of economics, financial markets and services
  • * Basic understanding of FMDQ’s products and services
  • * Strong communication skills, both oral (including telephone manners) and written
  • * Good command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and good command of Microsoft Visio (desirable)
  • * Good presentation skills
  • * Good interpersonal skills
  • * Good research skills
  • * Good planning, organisation and coordination skills; ability to plan, prioritise and organise own work
  • * Ability to work well under pressure
