Agusto & Co. was founded by Mr. Olabode Agusto (MFR) in 1992, as a business information company with the view of gathering and providing information on select African economies and industries—the firm assigns risk ratings to issuers and issues present in Nigeria and on the African continent.
In 2001, Agusto & Co. was licensed, and is currently regulated, by Nigeria’s Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC). In 2013, the company was approved and registered as a credit rating agency by the capital market authorities of Kenya and Rwanda.

Programme Overview
The programme seeks to recruit young and competent graduates with analytical minds and very good business writing skills. The candidates will be nurtured with the best on -the -job learning opportunities as well as relevant classroom trainings that will afford them the chance of growing into different key positions at Agusto & Co.
POSITION IN THE COMPANY
- Reports directly to the Rating/ Business Support Manager
- Has functional links with the other departments.
SCOPE OF THE JOB
- Candidate will work in different units like Ratings, Consulting, Business Development and Accounts/Finance
KEY TASKS (In different units)
RATINGS
- Act as Industry specialist on the industry assigned to him/her. This will include preparing research report(s) on this industry within the time line agreed with the Head of Research and keeping abreast of developments in this industry
- Reading and understanding the macro-economic data available on Nigeria, Ghana, Rwanda and Kenya.
- Quarterly updates on assigned industries in the Agusto Market Intelligence portal
- Rating of Financial or Non-financial institutions.
CONSULTING
- Collaborate with the consulting team on different engagements.
- Logistics support with the team on different campaigns and training sessions
- Prepare reports, proposals and presentations for client pitches and meetings
- Conduct client specific surveys and research
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Support the team`s marketing campaigns
- Relationship management
- Database management and update
- Effective collaboration with other business units.
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENT
- Good Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance or related fields
- Completion of mandatory 1-year national youth service
- Additional qualifications such Master’s Degree, ACA, ACCA CFA will be an added advantage
- Very good analytical and business writing skills
- Not older than 26 years old
